Power Motive Inventory by Hardeo Ojha and Brajbala Sah (English)

Achievement motivation is an acquired tendency. It is a disposition to strive for success in competition with others, with some standard of excellence set by the individual. Motive to achieve is a social need which has a long-term involvement and unique accomplishment. The need for achievement gives direction to human behaviour and makes them more goal oriented. This test is an easy assessment scale of achievement motivation.

This test is comprised of 50 items out of which one-half are indicating approval seeking whereas other half are with fear of disapproval. It is standardized on 808 younger (6-9 years) and 642 older (9-12 years) children belonging to various schools and religious groups. Percentile norms are given.
