Socio-Economic Status Scale by Meenakshi Sharma (English)

  This index consist 8 items, measures the Socio-economic Status of the subjects in terms of family status, parent’s education, occupation, income, caste, dwelling area, possession of few prestigious commodities, membership of famous clubs political affiliation etc. It also gives weightage to income tax as well as wealth tax payers. It is standardized on 1000 boys and girls of Class X.

This scale is developed on rural families and has 13 items.
