Socia-Economics Status

  This index consist 8 items, measures the Socio-economic Status of the subjects in terms of family status, parent’s education, occupation, income, caste, dwelling area, possession of few prestigious commodities, membership of famous clubs political affiliation etc. It also gives weightage to income tax as well as wealth tax payers. It is standardized on 1000 boys and girls of Class X.

This scale consists 40 items with five dimensions. They are: Socio-cultural Components, Economic Components, Possession of Goods and Services, Health Component, Educational Component. This scale can be used on adults.
